About this deal

As to the Anker Rechargeable Bolder LC90 LED Flashlight, it was one that I gave to my father who needed a trusty rechargeable light. The flashlight comes in the standard blue and white box and was secured in a way that the includes and flashlight won’t bounce around in the box. The Anker LC90 features multiple flashlight modes, including Eco, High, Low, Medium, SOS mode, and Strobe mode, offering versatility in different situations. That includes the outer shaft, the battery, one of the battery terminals, and the button end of the light.

Move between the modes by half pressing power button, release and half press again, repeat until you get to the required mode then fully press the button. The original LC40 is my EDC purely because it’s smaller, and so being smaller doesn’t so much make my EDC bag as large. You switch between them by Turning off the current setting, and immediately pressing the power button again.

There are a broad range of handheld tactical lights on the market, and many of them offer superior performance to the Anker LC90 flashlight. I didn’t get a chance to try out painting, but I did try out the motions of light painting by lighting up an old car on the property using some of the techniques I would use during light painting. The new end design makes it shorter, the original LC90 had two screw on caps, the first covers the batteries and presented MicroB, the 2nd presented operation button.

The LC40 is more a day to day compact torch but enough power and battery life if you ever find yourself in trouble. Since we’re right in the middle, I want to do a test to see who actually read these reviews, and who just looks at the pictures.Constructed with quality materials and built to last, the Anker LC90 is a reliable and durable flashlight option. In addition to that I keep one or two large ones in the cars (can be use for more than lighting things up) and a few in the barn.

From 100% output to less than 9% output – the generally accepted measurement in the industry – the LC90 showed a runtime of 4 hours 17 minutes. Thanks for the review and comparison, while I do not have either if these lights I can say that from the looks of it the smaller power button is a pain. The issue with a narrow tall LC90 is it probably cannot (reliably) be on its its end as a room light. The results were very similar to the first test’s and did not show an improvement for the 50% runtime standard I have proposed. Also, I can’t tell but couldn’t you just swap the end caps where the power button is from one version to the other or are they different size? After the second one, which had a sticky On/Off/Mode switch, that tended to like the Strobe and SOS mode more than anything else, it seems that Anker modified the switch, making it more of a distinct two stage one, that it's now easier to select the mode you want, before the full press to enable it, Kudos to Anker!
