About this deal

It’s no secret throughout the series that Cal is an addict – he’s a functioning alcoholic who has also leaned on pills in the past.

After reading Terms and Conditions, I was hopeful that Cal will get a better story, Declan was good but Cal was the charming one. Lana is such a layered and deep character that was relatable and determined by the end of the story. Plus, would he really even be ready for a healthy relationship and to become a father right after getting clean? Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang.

While he's always showing happiness, his reality is far from perfect—which makes getting to see his life his and fight againt his addiction, both great and painful. his recovery felt too easy, it happens extremely fast even tho majority of the book is him struggling w alcohol use. These are just a few of the similarities that caught my eye when I found Every Summer After by Carley Fortune as I was hunting for books like Final Offer. Fulfilling his dying wish of getting married and having an heir seemed impossible until my assistant volunteers for the job.

I loved that Asher didn’t go with the “love heals all” path; Cal doesn’t instantly change his ways because Alana is back in his life. I didn't find her charismatic at all,on the contrary, she's boring, unbearable, she wasn't funny at all no matter how much the author described how Cal laughed all the time, I didn't even lift the corner of my lips even once. i couldn’t root for Alana and Cal’s romance knowing Cal was still trying to hide his anxiety in a bottle. He tells Anto he won’t give her money but he can book her a hotel and get her into a facility for rehab.Cal and Alana’s story has my heart and it is by far my favorite in the Dreamland Billionaires series. I was a little disappointed by this end book, but I think it was more because I loved ‘fine print’ SO MUCH more, it was beyond my favourite with the characters so it was much harder to beat. Alana and Cal's love story was intense, emotional and rocky but I am so happy that they got their HEA. Here's the idea of what it's about: Five years ago Kenna Rowan was sent to prison after a tragic accident that killed her boyfriend. Whenever Cal is around people, his coping mechanism is to fiddle with Lana’s hair instead of alcohol.
