About this deal

aspect ratio for The Evil Dead: Book Of The Dead DVD, that print was then labelled as the 'widescreen' version, and they have done this with most subsequent releases.

First time watchers won’t mind the build-up and all, but for the rest of us we just want to get to the gore. They take the opportunity to innovate more, get crazier, even sillier, and take things to more outlandish, epic proportions. At 1:11:25 (based on the Book of the Dead edition) Ash is in the basement and he steps into a puddle of blood. won’t have a problem, but us English Canadians must deal with the bilingual packaging which clutters up the artwork and the back side.

Again, the blu is the same 2010 blu Anchor Bay released, so it has no extras but the newer commentary. Since I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this movie and shown it to countless others, watching it today is enjoyable, but not as much as it was in the past. It's just a little annoying that you need to find an older disc of the first Evil Dead to have most of its key special features. There are some shots that wound up in the finished film, but a good percentage is previously unseen material. They pick up Behind the Screams, too, so completists you don't have to worry about getting the Anchor Bay blu just for that. Between 1984–1990 The Evil Dead was actually banned in the UK and even when cuts of the film were allowed they were heavily edited.

and has a number of interesting and very rare extras which can't be found on any of the retail versions. I guess that is why the girls don’t seem to mind Bruce dominating the topics during this half hour conversation. Meanwhile, the Trilogy has a couple of those extras, including the Discovering the Evil Dead featurette the trailer and the TV spots. This release was limited to 50,000 units, and comes in a numbered collectors tin, with a postcard sized replica of the UK Palace Pictures quad poster, and a 48 page booklet.I know "better grain" isn't a big selling point, but it's a quick way to verify a higher quality image. Colors take advantage of the greater range, too, becoming darker and less contrasty, which is also an improvement. The lightning shot was put back in to the 2002 Anchor Bay Book Of The Dead DVD, and has remained in all subsequent releases. The Trilogy also has some exclusive extras, some of which are pretty dodgy, but still worth noting at least.

I HAVE THE ORIGINALS THEATRICAL PRINTS VERSIONS OF THE EVIL DEAD (1981), the rest of releases are SHIT ! Also unlike the first Evil Dead, this UHD introduces a new special feature, an almost hour-long, all new documentary. But between the UHD and the blus, the biggest difference is really the colors, which are more nuanced and less contrasty now on the UHD.It will be one long night for the lone survivor whose only way to stay alive is to destroy his once-friends by dismemberment before they take him too. Additionally there is also quite a difference in picture framing between this, and all the other versions. Incidentally, from what I can tell on a Caps-A-Holic comparison, the UHD is probably the unaltered version with no Sam Raimi tweaks.
