It's particularly challenging when you've had so many records, but when I showed Myles what I was thinking, he absolutely loved it and was on board right away.

When they go into the chorus, singer Myles Kennedy harmonizes brilliantly over Tremonti’s guitar riff that would surely make Neal Schon smile.

It has grasped my attention on the first listen and for sure I will continue to find new gems lurking behind the many layers of the song. With its amplifiers dialled up to 11, and with vocalist Myles Kennedy hitting the high notes like an air-balloonist with a death wish, what is on offer here is superior music from a fearless band. Following In The Deep is again brushing along this calming vibe, even though the music itself is nothing close to slow or quiet. But in terms of producing a superior rock record that manages to combine a sense of modernity with being fully briefed on the heritage from which it is formed, Walk The Sky is hard to beat.However, in the same breath the offering is disappointing when considering the sheer talent of the musicians involved was not fully utilized. Have to say that even the synth vibe being present throughout the whole album I was not expecting a song like Godspeed. With obviously getting out of the safe waters onto a bit more unknown roads, the band matured and it’s safe to say that their latest work, Walk the Sky, will crawl under your skin with every tone. The Alter Bridge that I loved was back full force after 'The Last Hero' which I found to be thoroughly underwhelming. I feel that AB are an underrated act (if such as thing exists), failing to gain the extensive exposure in the States when compared to the adoration they appear to enjoy in Europe.
