The bevel edge blade has two cutting angles, 25áµ’ ground angle and a pre-honed 30áµ’ angle for immediate use. The plastic cover had slipped back exposing the sharp blade for a potential hazard as it could have burst through the packaging ! The chisel wasn't actually machined adequately flat but given its size I imagine precision isn't high on the agenda as most people would be using it for large roughing out or big joints.
