About this deal

Hazelden Betty Ford's Thought for the Day offers daily meditations for people in recovery or affected by addiction to alcohol or other drugs. He completed a 150-mile ruck march to not only raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims, but also test his mental and physical strength.

During downtimes, it’s typical for people to seek comfort, whether in parties or movies or whatever it is they do to fill the space between one day and the next. In Twenty-Five Hours A Day, Nick Bare shares the lessons he learned while building his business past-7 figures in revenue as an Active Duty US Army Infantry Officer. You tell yourself you lack the smarts, skills, or leadership capabilities to live out your dream, but the truth is, there's a massive gap between what you think you can do and what you're actually capable of doing. For nearly two decades, Scott Jurek has been a dominant force—and darling—in the grueling and growing sport of ultrarunning. As previously discussed, Earth’s rotation, a fundamental aspect of our planet’s existence, presents a fascinating subject combining aspects of astronomy, physics, and geology. These instruments can detect subtle changes in the rotation speed and the orientation of the Earth’s axis. Winning the day back means you have the mindset that you figuratively start each day behind on the scorecard. If you’re on a run and it’s supposed to be a ten-miler, and your mind and body begin making excuses to quit at mile seven, you need to recognize that for what it is: BS.

Learn how he started his business, transformed his mindset in the military and fought through the obstacles of bootstrapping a brand out of nothing. The song was released as a promotional single in the United States and generated some airplay on album rock radio. It doesn't claim to make everything perfect or give you answers, just a story of what has worked for him from his own experience. Wall Street Journal bestseller; USA Today bestseller; Publishers Weekly bestseller; international bestseller. If you don’t focus on winning the day back, you will find yourself at the end of the day in the exact position you were in at the beginning. That said, I will continue to follow him on youtube, and try to forget about this slightly-toxic, unnecessary book. Instead of hiring experts the author suggests learning how to do things yourself to save on expense and increase your own knowledge base because you're building a brand. Embracing the suck means learning, and learning, that burning desire to acquire new knowledge is the not-so-secret sauce to growth in your personal life and career. Entrepreneurs need to quickly accept and adapt to the fact that they’re going to pretty much have to do it all in the beginning.

In Twenty-Five Hours A Day, I share the lessons I learned while building my business as a member of the US Army. Great job to the entire BPN and family and for all the hard work that Nick has put into this book and everything he does. Now, I want to help you transform your life by embracing the suck, living like you’ve got an extra hour, and harnessing the power of the “Go One More” mindset. I like Nick on YouTube and have enjoyed his journey through Ironman and now marathon training and thought this book would give a more in-depth look at his personality but it’s just a huge advert, rushed robotic narration, repetitive (the cool as the other side of the pillow guy) how many times? If you watch his YouTube videos and his free podcast you can get all the same stories from this book in a better form.

You need to be consciously aware of the idea that “this really sucks and I want to quit,” and then happily allow your mind to demand that your body hang in there and soak it all in. All of the chapters in this book were insightful and helpful, and can easily be implemented into your life. With that its a good book and easy to listen to covering what drives him and there is much can be taken from it, with the ease of course of listening on the go. This gives you a reasonable timeline to work with and somewhat reduces overly ambitious expectations. Nick, who lives in Austin, Texas, has built a community of hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. I don’t like to be harsh in book reviews based around someone’s life experiences because I respect and appreciate them putting it out there, but this book missed the mark for me.
