This makes learning the deck a breeze for complete beginners, and a valuable reading tool any expert can pick up and use right away without thinking about how to adapt to its iconology and symbolism. The back of the book details the story of Dragons from earliest known myth, to modern Fantasy and Science Fiction. Instead, the minors have the number of suit emblems arranged in different patterns, placed over a landscape background that changes significantly between suits and subtly between cards.

In imagery, they were not quite what I expected – they are not fully illustrated in the Rider-Waite sense and don’t feature dragons in the same way as the majors. Dragon Tarot draws upon the rich imagery of dragons in all their historical and mythological sources. These have been packaged inside a hard-cover box, illustrated with some of the tarot cards from the deck.
