About this deal

Artists retain ownership of all rights (including copyright), title and interest in their Works and any related biographical material listed on the Gallery. I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that the focus speed on your native Canon bodies will be much fasterr than when adapted to the S1R body.

Autofocus may be disabled for older Canon lenses and some third-party lenses (Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses). As a condition of browsing, using and purchasing from the Gallery, you agree to the following terms and conditions ( Terms). So to summarize the AF performance when using AF-S, as I have experienced it, with both native Panasonic lenses and with Canon EF / EF-S lenses, when it nails autofocus, it is spot on. This adapter can work with Canon EF L series lenses, but it would set to the largest aperture by default. For firmware updates and directions, please see the firmware update article for this adapter in the Fotodiox technical support knowledge base. Overall my opinion is the S1R is the best bridge camera from Canon DSLR, and paired with the EM1X you have everything when adapting EF mount lenses.

The Viltrox EF-L Canon EF(-S) - Panasonic L Mount Adapter is a focus adapter with which you can mount EF/EF-S lenses onto a Panasonic L-mount mirrorless camera. Just a couple of notes of using Canon EF lenses in general on the first generation of Panasonic bodies. All content, design, and layout are Copyright © 1998–2024 Digital Photography Review All Rights Reserved. The Fujifilm XF 23mm F2 R WR delivers a 35mm full-frame equivalent field of view and stands out due to its small size and weather-resistant build.

Uli Plank wrote:If it's any indicator, I use the Sigma adapter from EF to E-mount and it works very well here. The professional version features a positive-lock EF lens mount to avoid movement between the lens and the camera. It's not the most flexible use case, but when it's within the required scope, it's a little beauty (and if you keep your Canon camera(s) - mainly for maximum reach and really well proven fast focus - it's there anyway. Subject to clause 39 below, we are the exclusive owner of, or otherwise have a licence to use, all images, videos, literary works, designs, source code and data, and any other copyright matter contained in the Gallery ( Content). I await the truly compact RF-Style body which I am sure that Panasonic has every capability to make if we have some patience. Unless otherwise stated, we are not the copyright owner of the images, videos, literary works, designs, source code and data, and any other copyright matter contained in the Works that are displayed for sale in the Gallery ( Artist Content).

I'm pretty sure that Viltrox needs to do inverse engineering, but Sigma is part of the L-mount consortium. Not all Canon EF lenses will perform the same depending on Lens firmware, focusing motors, age of lens and manufacturer.
