About this deal

Download the PlayStation Now app to gain access to an extensive and expanding library of over 300 classic PlayStation 3 titles streamed straight to your computer. C'est un vrai soulagement, la portée est d'ailleurs assez haute (je n'ai pas essayé plus que ça de m'éloigner). Normally I connect my PS4 controller to my PC via the charging cable, but the controller just reads as an emulated 360 controller thanks to DS4 windows.

The adapter itself is pretty standard stuff if you didn’t look closely at it, you’d confuse it for a simple USB flash drive. All content, games titles, trade names and/or trade dress, trademarks, artwork and associated imagery are trademarks and/or copyright material of their respective owners. Plug and play - Insert the adaptor into a USB port on your PC/Mac and follow a quick and easy Bluetooth pairing process to connect your DUALSHOCK4 wireless controller. Short of that, I can’t recommend anyone picking up this, especially if they were looking forward to using this over DS4Window or Joy2Key. KEY FEATURES Plug and play - Insert the adaptor into a USB port on your PC/Mac and follow a quick and easy Bluetooth pairing process to connect your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller.DualWielding Well, officially Sony previously only supported wired DualShock 4s for things like Remote Play. DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controllers may work with some Windows PC/Mac games but Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. I've got it plugged into the back of my PC, which is under my desk, so doesn't stick out or get in the way at all.

This is due to both Steam and the games not having any native DualShock 4 support, which removes any ability to use them in games. This adaptor enables your DUALSHOCK 4 controller to wirelessly connect to your compatible PC or Mac. Download the Remote Play app on your PC/Mac, insert the USB Wireless Adaptor and then follow a quick and easy Bluetooth pairing process to connect your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller. While this isn’t helping the DualShock 4 USB Wireless PC adapter at the moment, Valve did confirm during the Steam Dev Days that Steam ( here) will eventually receive official DualShock 4 support.

I hope that this is something that changes with time, but currently, software that fools the computer into thinking the DS4 is a XBox 360 controller is still required for very many games, meaning the advantage the adapter offers over a standard bluetooth connection is worth less than the USB port it takes up. I'd figure you'd have to get an emulator to have it work on games that DON'T support PS4 Controllers. Then here's some pretty good news: Sony's releasing a wireless USB adaptor for the controller in Europe and North America, starting 15th September in the Old World and "early September" in the United States. It was unplayable to the point that I gave up on the Bluetooth and just plugged the controller in via USB.

I just disabled these playback and recording devices in windows (as I didn't want to use the controller jack) and that was that. I am pleased to say that this dongle has entirely eliminated the latency issues I was experiencing via Bluetooth and seems to be just as responsive as the USB connection. Well, the Steam support has been released and it’s a bit spotty and while Sony hasn’t released an official driver yet, the crew behind DS4Windows has added support for it. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.I need to stress this as well – if you’re getting this for the sole purpose of playing PC games with a DualShock 4 controller, then don’t. On the other end of the spectrum, Shadow Warrior 2 worked without a hitch – which was surprising as there’s no advertised DualShock 4 support for the game.
