About this deal

You will not need to leave the colour on for the total time it says as your hair has been through a lot and its going to grab the colour!

Please note: ColourB4 Ultimate will help to remove unwanted colour and lighten the hair, however depending on the condition of your hair, and if it has previously been coloured it may not completely remove the colour. The first thing I noticed when I read the instructions was that I’d need 2 boxes as my hair was classed as “long. So I thought I really can’t leave it like this and used the least damaging colour/toner I could think of and it was clariol dark blond Demi dye. I've tried Colour B4 many times and have never found any re-oxidation - even when I have used jet black colours. my hair was so dark nearly black an im naturally light brown/dark blonde but after years of lightening, black, dark brown and red i wanted to try and go blonde again so used the extra strength and it was AMAZING!

I use ColourB4 every time I colour my hair…in just one hour this ‘box of magic’ transforms my hair, leaving it in the best condition and ready for me to experiment with my next look! And thanks :) the colour wasn’t awful I’d just never seen my hair that light before so it was a bit of a shock! i used xxl red passion n only the top half has come out not the bottom ov ma hair which is still black. I continually go back to this product after years of using bleach to remove colour and have to say I think its amazing!

I then washed it all out, applied the buffer as instructed and then started to blow dry to see the full results. I did not leave mine the full hour namely as I know my hair and felt after 45 minutes this was adequate. Make sure to shampoo your hair with a clarifying shampoo and again don’t freak out if you see some weird colour when you use it. Today I used a third box and left it on for an hour and finally, the black is completely gone from my hair. Once you have your gloves on and have protected your clothes (I have an old tee and jeans I use especially for colouring) empty the Activator (bottle A) into the Remover (bottle b) and shake very well.

Bleaching your hair would actually be better for your hair as not only could this product react with the colour you previously put on your hair but it will dry it out possibly causing breakage and severe split ends. Even if you are dying your hair a dark colour they still contain ammonia or something similar which is bleaching your hair too. You may require 2-3 boxes dependant on your hair colour, length and thickness but I think I got away with using just the one. The process itself was pretty straightforward, a little specific on timeframes for each product to be left on and rinsed off but it took around 80 minutes in total.

Having trained as an aveda hair dresser we have told that such products will absoutely ruin your hair! Please ensure you follow our safety and how-to instructions included carefully to avoid any issues along the way. This picture is just after I have finished applying the remover, as you can see it is already working and my hair is lighter. You can get some really scary results when you first use the Colour B4, I know what you mean about Basil Brush LOL! I’d definitely recommend giving it a go if you’re stuck trying to get your old hair colourant out ( just read the instructions first as it won’t work if you’ve dyed your hair using certain dyes or if you’ve used an excessive amount of heat on your hair).Followed every instruction to the absolute letter; before I rinsed I noted my hair looked lighter as if it were turning ginger. I generally dye my hair once a month (Using L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss), but I've now built the colour up so much that it has caused a build up of uneven colour just below my roots.
