Tampos adorn the body, but not so many that it makes the suit look too utilitarian - tampos, panels and additional detail suit Gundams like Strike because it's such a workhorse, but with Aerial you feel the mystique of how it achieves its remarkable functions would be undermined with lots of warnings and markings. Articulation-wise, the HG Aerial is kind of a mixed bag for me as it feels a bit more limiting than I would have expected. Aerial follows a traditional protagonist Gundam color scheme with white, blue, red, and yellow accents. The joints have some nice additional features too - the back of the thighs can collapse to grant additional range to the knee bend, there are sculpted wires in the knees around which the metallic joint rotates, and that forearm bend I mentioned earlier? Either the item is completely pre-painted, such as an action figure or other completed figure, or it is molded in the colors of the finished item so that it appears natural after you have assembled it. Each bit (Bit Stave) can be detached to be operated as a mobile turret with built-in beam cannons or as a shield.

You can get a really natural kneeling position which is often hard for HG models to do and the hip articulation forward and back is great, allowing Aerial to do wicked high kicks. Here, Aerial is both sparse and jam-packed with stuff, thanks to the GUND-Bit weapon set which adds a ton of possibilities.Kits of this latter type require a degree of engineering common sense on the part of the modeler, as well as extensive test-fitting, to properly assemble. The runners are separated by color as well as pre-painted parts allowing the model to look amazing simply by being put together!
