The operating system has been made more straightforward for the users. You need to touch the display or press the button to activate the smart mode. It’s even more expensive than the Garmin Fenix 7 above, but the second-generation Garmin Epix does everything you could possibly need from a sports watch: the super-sharp 1.3in AMOLED touchscreen is a pleasure to use and it’s absolutely stuffed to the gills with handy features. However, it's not a patch on the smartwatch experience offered by Apple and Google. But with two weeks of battery life, (7-10 days of heavy use in our testing) it's a fantastic alternative. If you’re a swimmer, then make sure there’s a suitable water-resistant rating attached to that smartwatch. The standard for most smartwatches is a 5ATM water-resistant rating, which deems it safe to be submerged in water up to 50 metres depth and that’s should make it fit for pool swims. The health insights stop short of what's available on the Sense 2, meaning there's no ECG, but the Versa 4 will still handily scan for irregular heart rate events through the PPG sensor.When using Time Only Mode from a full charge, battery can last 3+ weeks, but the primary intention of this mode is to keep your watch from dying before you reach the charger. When the battery is extra low, it switches to Time Only Mode so your watch can continue to function as a basic time teller for a bit longer.
