About this deal
The Gaelic name for the mountain is Àrd-Na-Said, which literally translated means the ‘Height of Arrows’ as the mountain was believed to be the furthest distance any archer could shoot an arrow.
My girlfriend likes sweet gins and when I found this one I thought it'd be a good gift for her and I think I made the perfect choice. Height of Arrows is a gin that allows gin fans to explore a new direction in modern gin making; one that elevates today’s gin drinking experience.Nose: The higher ABV and increased botanical mass really jump out the glass, with big aromas of piney juniper and zesty citrus, the latter of which are more prominent than in Original. Sea Salt acts as a natural flavour enhancer, imparting depth and layers, while beeswax creates a unique oily texture. We use Isle of Skye sea salt to add a rich depth to the juniper flavour, and natural beeswax to create a uniquely smooth and oily texture to our gin.
In creating Height of Arrows, the distillers sought to create a gin that followed the same principle of utilising a few ingredients to achieve an abundance of flavour. It comes in a simple, uncomplicated clear glass bottle with an equally simple but beautifully printed embossed label. Height of Arrows Heavy is an Old Tom style, so has a touch of sweetener added, post-distillation – in this case sugar. Just like when cooking this intensifies the flavour profile which has then been sweetened to remove any bitterness.
