It comes with a 40-page booklet, which includes lyrics, photos and David Gray’s personal notes on the people involved and the stories behind some of the songs and most memorable shows. Gray combines gentle guitar hooks and effusive string washes with warm, fluent beats on memorable songs. This could, and should have been done beautifully (as George Michael Older was), but sadly It seems to have been mastered in a public toilet using a phone as monitor speakers and then pressed using recycled milk bottle plastic!

White Ladder spawned the timeless hits "This Year's Love," "Babylon," and "Sail Away" and is one of the greatest and most heart-warming word-of-mouth successes in music. Still some cracks and pops, but I’m not sure if that’s the pressing or just a dirty record as I didn’t properly clean it before playing.A patron funded not for profit record label, we are an ethics first business who believe in gender equality and fair pay for all.

I'm not even remotely an audiophile and can tolerate almost any mastering if I like the music - this is the first LP I'm had to take it off after 2 songs because it was grating. Quotations at the end of “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye” are taken from “Into The Mystic” and “Madam George” written by Van Morrison.

This double vinyl, gatefold package features a live performance of the White Ladder album in its entirety, along with encore tracks, performed during the White Ladder 20th Anniversary Tour in 2022. This expanded, deluxe edition features a remastered version of the iconic album plus a second disc of previously unreleased and rare White Ladder-era B-sides and demos. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.These writings are featured in a commemorative book alongside rare photography and housed in beautiful packaging that also features the lyrics to timeless hits such as This Year's Love, Babylon, and Sail Away.
