Ocho is a traditionally made tequila, slow cooking of the agave accentuates the flavour and it will develop character in bottle. It comes as a result of a collaboration between the Camarena family in Tapatio with Tomos Estes in La Perla. Made with 100% Blue Agave (the precise field is marked on the neck of the bottle), Ocho use traditional methods from brick ovens, 4-5 day open vat fermentation using indigenous yeast and a double distillation in a mix of steel and copper stills.The rocky agave field is surrounded by pine and fruit trees, which has an impact on the flavour of the agave, so this is a rather green, fruity bottling.

The palate is understated with deep and assertive flavours of maple, cantaloupe, lilac, stewed peach, and avocado creaminess. Unaged and honours the noble agaves of Arandas and the Camarena "Ranchos" through intense, lively and clean flavours. The Ron Abuelo 12 Year Old Gran Reserva is a wonderfully well-balanced and rounded Rum showing notes of Vanilla, dried fruits, chocolate and tobacco.Many cocktails simply wouldn’t be the same without a dash or two of Angostura bitters and it’s the complex herbaceous nature of the product which allows it to offer additional depth and dimension to cocktails.
