About this deal

But it’s something that it won’t dry out and won’t pump out , it will keep performing just as good even after a year. A few years ago, Thermal Grizzly released Carbonaut which was a tiny carbon sheet with the idea it could replace paste. This makes it much easier to apply, because you literally just drop it onto the surface you want to cool.

When TPU popped the cooler off after some heavy usage they could see indents on the thermal sheet, proving it will fill in any uneven spots. But even with clocks set that low, and with outside temps barely reaching 70F today, I'm still seeing temps hit 100C on 6 of the P-cores, and that is with a room temp of 71F after the 30 minute stability run.Hard Drive: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB | Hard Drive: Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB | Power Supply: EVGA Supernova G2 850W | Cooling: Corsair H100i V2 | Cooling: Corsair ML120 Pro x5 | Case: CaseLabs SM5 | Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB 64-Bit | Monitor: Dell U2414H | Monitor: Dell U2414H | Monitor: Asus VG248QE | Keyboard: WASD CODE 87-Key - Cherry MX Clear | Mouse: Zowie FK1 | Mousepad: Artisan ZERO MID Black Large Mouse Pad | Audio: JDS Labs Element | Audio: Sennheiser HD 599 | Audio: Samson Q2U | Audio: Swan M50W Powered 2.

But I've been running a Carbonaut sheet in my laptop since June 2019 and it's just as good as paste, but I don't ever have to worry about temps increasing but then again, I'm not doing anything hugely strenuous on this laptop. This increased thermal conductivity is based not only on the choice of material, but on the innovative manufacturing process. Seems odd since I'm running IC Diamond thermal paste which has never had a problem for me in the past. So all I did was just put kapton tape all around the die and PCB outside of the substrate, applied just enough so that it wouldn't have any chance of spilling oveer, even if the deck went to through some vibrations, had to do some reapplies due to copper absorption issues, but the temps have now been perfectly stable for 3 months and has not gotten worse. I was having to keep 7950x under 140w to keep it cool with MX6 but I'm pulling 200w now with it staying around 85c.
