And to think that I thought I couldn't possibly hate this fmc more and she pulls the 'i'm not like other girls' line. I'm just so glad to have found this book, it was just what I wanted and was looking for but unable to find until now. From what I've read about whats in this book I really can't understand how people think this is dark romance?

Z isn't just a stalker with a desire to assault the target of his obsession - he's also a super rich vigilante who works to stop sex trafficking! So, it was more playful and fun and even more personal, which made the chemistry much more believable. Did it say in the "trigger warnings" that the girls love interest is the one that sexually assaulted her? A part of me was curious to find out why people liked it so much, but honestly it made me feel sick.I know this is fiction, but (1) stuff like this happens in real life, and (2) it is so harmful and has the ability to shape people's ways of thinking. I imagine the author was trying to spin the assault as kink but both the writing and the author’s understanding of kink are just the worst. But, I think building up to the first encounter more would have created more suspense for the reader and allowed us to really feel his obsession and what led to him having to stalk her. si tu kink es violacion te quiero presa hija de puta, "pero es romance oscuro" pero chupame bien la poronga desde cuando el romance oscuro tiene que ser solo sobre abusos y violaciones?

Even if we put that aside, and just focus on shit like his dirty talk or dick skills (he has none), he's gross and incompetent. Anyways (fml😑) this book wasn’t banned for nothing (please check all trigger warnings, although they don't justify shit in this case). I love these kinds of books, and this one is probably one of the best ones I've ever read/listened to. i thought i was desensitized to smut at this point but i was shocked, to say the least, at the words my eyes were reading.Adeline certainly feels obligated to respond the way she SHOULD, but it's important to note that she WANTS to respond to him positively rather than negatively, regardless of what society expects her to feel in such a situation.
