About this deal

If you like Guaiac Wood and really dry smoke that is woody in nature (instead of incense-based), then I would definitely encourage you to try the Sehr. I do have both Black kalemat(sehar kalemat) and kalemat original version, i felt both of them are almost produce similar smell, other than the over projection of Oud in black kalemat. I do not get the 24Gold comparison, they are different (oud, vanilla and amber doesn't make them smell similar). And mind you, the moment she said that, she was standing in one of those cubicles in the office with a ventilator on top to suck out the cigarette of the smokers. I prefer to smell this on a man (or scent my home with it) than to wear it myself, the smell of burning woods is abit much for me, eventhough I find the ambery-vanilla aspect of it absolutely, deliciously gorgeous, I just love sweet ambery scents.

Kalemat Black is like a dark chocolate truffle mixed with beautifully aged red wine that is baking in the oven.

Kalemat remains my top choice for subtle oriental indulgence, but should I choose, in a social event, to make my presence more than obvious . At the end of the first hour, the extremely dry, occasionally searing, burnt smoke vies with the fruited, saffron, patchouli, honeyed sweetness for dominance. The package box so luxurious, but the bottle itself is so cheap with cheap plastic cap, cheap sprayer and cheap plastic spine (on a bottle side). com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US.

The opening blast of Frankincense is rendered quite fresh with the addition of Basil but lasts only a few minutes before the Vanilla takes over, creating a gorgeous sweet caramel-ish vibe. Increasingly, the scent turns warm and sweet, until it is merely blueberry amber with honey and vanilla. I have oils from all over the oud regions, and let me tell you this stuff has the most, and strongest real oud in any EDP I have ever smelled. The scratchy, dry, dusty, almost metallic, steeliness in Sehr el Kalemat is a given, no matter how much of the fragrance I applied. I think Arabian Oud has a typo with the smaller size listed in the description of the perfume’s notes, as all other vendors have the perfume listed as being 100 ml.

Sehr el Kalemat has a definite smoke element, but it never feels like pure frankincense to me, and really verges more on the dusty, dry, almost sharp aroma of something burnt in the outdoors. I sprayed a tester strip one morning and left it in my room only to come back 6 hours later and be hit with a dense cloud that filled the whole room. With its peppery notes of fresh basil and balsamic incense, Sehr Kalemat is inspired by exotic spice gardens. I think Sehr el Kalemat might be a good choice for someone looking for an inexpensive, dry, woody, slightly masculine Middle Eastern fragrance that bears a microscopic similarity to Amouage’s costly Interlude Man. If you’re looking for a Kalemat without tobacco but with very dry woody smoke instead, this is the option.

On a more serious note (no pun intended :P), Kalemat Black really takes that sweet, ambery vibe present in the original Kalemat and intensifies it with the Oud.Amber, frankincense, and vanilla, this is a wonderful introduction into an Arabic Oriental without veering into "Orientalism" or a parody of Arabic scents. Over the past 2 years I've amassed a collection of 100+ perfumes and less than a handful have wowed my senses. This can be worn in all seasons except in very humid conditions (IMO) depending on the number of sprays.
