About this deal

So I thank you from the bottomless pit of my heart, and now happily I'm off to read the next box set.

In the meantime, readers can explore related characters like Alex Ormond and Philip in Blade's wider literary universe. As Widow peels back layers of conspiracy, he stands on the razor's edge between law and vigilantism. While crafted by a different author, fans of Reacher often enjoy following Widow's own adventures and story, with Scott Blade's unique contributions to the character. If you want a nail-biter, sit on the edge of your seat kind of read, pick up anything by Scott Blade.

Unlike Blade's usual style, this book is shorter and focuses on relentless action, making it an engaging and swift read, steering clear of the usual narrative fluff found in the author's works. The Jack Widow book series often draws comparisons to Jack Reacher due to the titular character, Jack Widow, being a former military man turned drifter, similar to Lee Child's Reacher. The books keeps getting additive and take me less time to read them and end up having to wait longer for the next one! When he insists her to tell him what has happened that has made her so stress out, the old woman begins to tell her side to Jack. Rewind to Widow's final days as a twenty-two-year-old midshipman, where a dying woman's request catapults him into a whirlwind of lies and buried truths. As a major snowstorm approaches very fast, the secret mission of Alex Shepard looks like turning into a failure. Widow races against time to save an innocent girl and keep the President alive from enemies, both foreign and domestic. Having read all the previous Jack Widow books, suffering withdrawal symptoms, suddenly realised I'd somehow missed this one. The request was to save a former biker women and child in a witness protection scheme from the gang of killers whose mission was to take her back to the gangs HQ for punishment.

I enjoyed most of it, except he wanted too much drama in the last two chapters and went overboard in my opinion. Quite often, he gets bound by trouble one after the other and becomes tired of getting rid each one of them. This ensures you get the most out of Scott Blade's intricately crafted narrative, with every detail meticulously planned by the author. The Jack Widow book series by Scott Blade includes books Gone Forever, Winter Territory, A Reason to Kill, and several more.Quickly, Widow grows attached to her and her two sons, but his feelings for her may be more than a simple infatuation. Trying to prove his innocence, Widow’s need to right wrongs dredges up a hidden network of pure evil. Jack Widow was almost run over by the car he was trying to thumb down, and then he discovers that the car was being driven by a retired US Marshal.

Widow achieved this aim and uncovered a corrupt FBI agent albeit with help from the Marshal once recovered as much as possible from his hospital stay. It’s pretty solid advice, to be honest, but I’ve said it before and will happily repeat it: Don’t take it to a dogmatic level. An unexplained low bank balance forces Widow to take temporary work on a dying cattle ranch in northern Montana. The woman also tells Jack Widow that her son named James Hood has joined the company of some wrongly and powerful people. What feels more troublesome to him is that he has to put in a lot of efforts to overcome even the smallest of the troubles, and yet they do not stop from chasing him wherever he goes.
