Timeless tracks from Annie Lennox and Richard Marx follow with Bon Jovi's 'Keep The Faith' closing Side One. Licensing issues can work for you occasionally, presuming that’s what has prevented Red Said Fred’s ‘Deeply Dippy’ being included on this compilation.

is the year that Simply Red’s Stars outsold every other album in the UK for the second year running and the touching ‘For Your Babies’ is included from that long-player along with the live version of ‘Lady Godiva’s Room’ (an excellent B-side from 1987), one of four tracks included on ‘The Montreux EP’. and Crowded House follow, together with the Gary Barlow-written ‘A Million Love Songs’ from Take That and Kylie Minogue’s ‘Finer Feelings’ remixed for single release by Brothers In Rhythm. That was one of only 13 chart-toppers in Britain in 1992 and a creditable nine are included in Yearbook ’92. Brian May’s ‘Too Much Love Will Kill You’ begins disc 2, followed by Mike Oldfield’s ‘Sentinel’, plus fantastic covers from Cher (‘Could've Been You’), KISS (‘God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II’), and Manic Street Preachers (‘Theme From M*A*S*H (Suicide Is Painless)’).

U2 had successfully reinvented themselves with 1991’s Achtung Baby and the ‘Perfecto Mix’ version of fourth single ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’ features on a strong CD 1 which also includes The KLF (‘America: What Time Is Love? This edition does not fail to satisfy with it's track listing, some memorable tracks from the early 90's. This album definitely brings back the memories of hearing them on the radio before or after a school day. Queen are represented by solo offerings from Freddie Mercury and Brian May and this ‘Extra’ set offers us tracks from Tori Amos, Dina Carrol, Sophie B.

Big power ballads from Shakespear’s Sister, Wet Wet Wet, Vanessa Williams, Annie Lennox and of course Whitney Houston are hands-down the sound of that year and are just one big nostalgia-fest if this is your era.

But the final track on this ‘Yearbook’ is 1992’s biggest seller in both the UK and the US: ‘I Will Always Love You’ from Whitney Houston. two from Take That (‘A Million Love Songs’, ‘I Found Heaven’) and the same from Simply Red (‘Your Mirror, Thrill Me). Billy Ray Cyrus’ signature Country hit ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ is included, plus Billy Joel, who recorded Elvis Presley’s ‘All Shook Up’ for the film 'Honeymoon In Vegas'. Alban East 17 Electronic Elton John En Vogue Erma Franklin George Michael Gloria Estefan Go West Heaven 17 Iron Maiden Jimmy Nail Jon Secada Julia Fordham K.Classic late ‘70s songs ‘Baker Street’ and ‘Please Don’t Go’ were re-made as huge Dance hits – and floor-fillers from CeCe Peniston, Kym Sims, Dina Carroll and Paula Abdul are all featured.
