About this deal

I loved how the small town setting felt claustrophobic once again, with the locals keeping their closely guarded secrets close to their chests. I did finish the book and the storyline, which was quite interesting, came to end with the mystery concluded, however there is the ongoing case for the next book. The characters are really well written, and the author creates them so they are relatable and you could easily become friends with them. But when fire investigators start sifting through the debris, they discover a skeleton in the foundations of the building.

As he uncovers a web of deceit and destruction that goes back decades, Ben quickly learns that in this small town, everybody has something to hide. Thank you to NetGalley, Pigeonhole, Robert Gold and Sphere/Little Brown Book Group for the chance to read this book. And when the identity of the victim is revealed, Ben is confronted with a crime that is terrifyingly close to home. There were a lot of new characters with big secrets and it was really interesting reading about them all and how all their secrets connected.HARLAN COBEN MEETS HAPPY VALLEY IN THIS ROLLERCOASTER NEW THRILLER FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR***Whether you're already a fan of TWELVE SECRETS or whether you're discovering Robert Gold for the first time, ELEVEN LIARS will have you glued to the pages***Already excited for more Ben Harper? C’è talento, una trama imprevedibile, mistero, adrenalina, personaggi equilibrati e intelligenti, ritmo serrato e un numero imprecisato di colpi di scena. The story is mostly told from Ben's perspective; but we do get chapters from Dani, both in the present and past. Cash's life in this book is far from stable and you are left wondering how that's all going to end up. Gold has weaved a very complex family backstory for Dani and the further into the story you go, the more is explored and some of the revelations are a definite eye-opener. We read the story from different character perspectives and really widens the story so it’s easy to see various sides of the story. Even then, there’s the usual thread hanging in the air, which we just know will lead into the next chapter in this magnificent series. You don’t really have to read TWELVE SECRETS to appreciate this one, but I would strongly recommend it so you have an idea of the characters and relationships.
