I didn't like that she was trying to fool herself about her feelings toward Matteo, even though i liked that all the time she was trying to conviece herself that she didn't feel anything about him. I really loved Luca in the first book, but Matteo spoke equally to my heart and he was a more approachable guy!

Right away, though, I really enjoyed Gianna's character and how she was adamant she didn't want anything to do with the mafia life. by far, but honestly that's not hard to achieve, considering his competition is a cold fish and a ruthless monster. I like Matteo but his obsession with Gianna is absolutely senseless, and after talking how much Luca needs to keep his face Matteo just goes around almost doing his best to make Luca seem weak.
