Instead, we get: Emmeline and Rainier half naked, clinging to each other, and smooching in front of a decent sized group of soldiers.Though I did find myself wishing for an Elora pov but I suspect that may be something the author will offer later on. Now, Emmeline and Rainier must work together to find the Beloved—to save the girl from the Folterrans and fulfill the prophecy of peace—while they both battle feelings of remorse and heartbreak, trying to ignore the heated desire and simmering attraction between them that never left. Emma’s sister, nearly 20 years ago, was killed for being the Beloved, so she, her husband (gag), and Elora have been in hiding.

Seriously, if the author sees this-You have an immense talent for portraying emotion in your stories! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. while some of the story lines i felt like went on for a while, the continuation of conflicts made it not drag in a boring way.Not to mention, these characters can't seem to keep their mouths closed and are airing dirty laundry to each other behind the scenes. Jess has traveled the United States the last 8 years with her husband, two children, and two giant dogs. The world-building and magickal system is also interesting and I hope to see it develop more in coming books as well.
