But in surprising ways, she's discovered how to let go of bound-up resentment and overcome the resistance to forgiving people who aren't willing to make things right. It’s easier to ignore this person altogether than to try and figure out boundaries so they don’t keep hurting me. I also walked away from reading this book and completing the Bible study with little insight as to how to forgive others and found it odd that one of the biggest issues for Lysa to forgive was simply glossed over and the reader was left guessing that everything worked out.

What we've gone through is not a waste when it fertilizes that softened ground of our hearts, increasing the chances for new life to thrive.
