About this deal

In a meta twist, the Argylle trailer confirmed that Conway is the in-universe author of the book as well. Currently in postproduction, the film does not yet have a release date, with IMDb listing it as “expected in 2023.

Attempts by The Hollywood Reporter to read an advance copy of the book — a common industry practice — were unsuccessful. When the Hollywood Reporter first went looking for Conway in September, all that was connected to her was an empty Instagram account with nine followers, one of them a Bryce Dallas Howard fan account. I can see Argylle and Wyatt making a great team in future books, which there are going to be as the film is based on book five to be.She’s written multiple midlist spy novels, like Argylle, most recently When She Was Bad (2016) and They All Fall Down (2017).

The globe-trotting spy thriller that inspired the upcoming action blockbuster Argylle , featuring a star-studded cast including Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Samuel L. hastily recruited and poorly trained CIA agents, hidden Nazi treasure, Russian politicians, assassins, double agents, missing jewelry, world travel. That huge figure sparked speculation that the author might actually be someone very high profile, using a different name. NATIONAL BESTSELLER The globe-trotting spy thriller that inspired the upcoming action blockbuster Argylle (February 2024) , featuring a star-studded cast including Henry Cavill , Bryce Dallas Howard, Samuel L. And I say that because I imagine Taylor Swift has a load of people trying to jump on her bandwagon left, right, and center, and I don't want to be a part of that club.We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Federov’s ultimate goal is to make himself popular enough to achieve his dream of establishing “a united, ultra-Right Russian superstate”, but Argylle isn’t really concerned with geopolitics.

This book starts slow, but ends with a bang, to be honest I didn't feel that intense pull to be listening to the story, but I'm going to say that was due to the narration (more on that in a bit) than the actual book. The Argyle pattern - Taylor's recent Red (Taylor's Version) era was chock full of the same aesthetic, particularly the 'All Too Well (10 Minute Version)' video. The audiobook was narrated by Dakota Blue Richards, who did a fine job but has a very young-sounding voice and seemed an odd choice for a male spy, or was she meant to be the author reading the story? Taylor got dragged into the conspiracy theory after the film's trailer and promotional material was released. I personally feel like a sensational story like this, written in third person POV, could have benefitted from a full cast audio, or at the very least two narrators, a male and female. This was one of the few fan theories that gained traction, primarily due to Swift's enormous star power. The filmmaker stated that it will include the Kingsman franchise, the Argylle films, and an unnamed third franchise; while the plan is to have each of these culminate in a crossover at some point in the future.
