About this deal

The main character in this story is a baby that is observing the multitude of interesting and curious legs and feet that are moving in all sorts of ways through the city. By offering a personalised, warm, and caring approach to all treatments, clients are offered the best possible service, and ensuring all their immediate, and longer term, needs are met. In addition, there some phrases in different languages which adds to the diversified feel of the book.

This is such a fun story with many different legs, different people, different languages and different stories.I love that the focus isn't just on what the footwear looks like, but what the people are doing as they go about their day in the city - bouncing, waiting for a bus, dancing, playing hopscotch, waiting in line, dragging as they get tired. Aixa Pérez-Prado is a storyteller, artist, and university professor who loves wandering through cities and countries all over the world with her boots on. City Feet Clinic has some of Sydney’s leading podiatry experts with a large number of happy clients and a high referral rate.

She has published two books on teaching through critical and creative thinking strategies and created the cover art for both. This book is a lot of fun to read with the bright visuals and rhyming phrases, especially the seamless addition of other languages.I had the privilege to hear the author read this book out loud and the way she did it, with such lovely rhythm and cadence, made the words sing off the page. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. I loved the addition of different languages and the unique perspective of exploring a city and its people from just their feet. Aixa Perez-Prado takes the reader on a journey through the city (or cities) to show such diversity and community in a really wonderful way. Segments focus on stories, reading and writing skills, math, science, social studies, the arts, and social-emotional learning.

As a parent who always reads children’s books before reading to my daughter, I was excited to see such inclusion and love in this book. I hope to have my heart stories exploring identity, belonging, immigration, and multilingualism through humor published one day. Not only are many types of “feet” and “shoes” mentioned, which represent different age groups, styles and activities, but there are drops-in words from a variety of languages that we might hear on a city street. This is such a fun and beautiful book that kids will absolutely enjoying reading over and over again. Still, I had such a clear idea of how I wanted this book to look with only legs and feet, that I jumped at the chance. This book could be used to launch lessons for different art projects, or lessons about identity/diversity/community, as well as just a familiar fun quick read-aloud to enjoy again and again as a transition activity in a classroom when kids need a little wiggle break before they refocus. The story walks the reader through various parts of a bustling city and all the different shoes and feet of its inhabitants.
