About this deal

I also assume that a new Space Marines codex can’t be too far behind this book, and I suspect that may give us some insight into the rumoured 10th edition of the game – so I think there may be lots more goodies for Space Marine players to get excited about in the near future!

Besides Agastus and Titus [1a], the Strike Force also contains Sergeant Kaldan's Desolation Squad and Sergeant Haspian's Heavy Intercessor squad. The Strike Force dealt the blow that killed the Master-Mek, as the Imperium fought his Ork hordes on Idrapol. [1b] It is now among the Imperium's forces defending the Ork-invaded Tarmoth System and the Strike Force is aiding in the defence of the vital Agri World Kolomar. [1a] Known MembersThis force of 17 miniatures hits the battlefield with a relentless rain of punishing heavy fire. Accompanied by five Heavy Intercessors, there are 12 totally new models in Strike Force Agastus – an incredibly versatile Primaris Lieutenant, the close-combat focused Brutalis Dreadnought, and 10 Desolation Marines who can reap a heavy toll of infantry or hard targets. Augustus decided he would continue to expand into new territories, but also strengthened Roman life within the empire. He strengthened the army and conquered much of the land around the Mediterranean Sea, as well as continuing the advancement of Britain's conquest. The statue was found in the villa of Augustus’ wife Livia at Prima Porta, a few kilometres north of Rome. It depicts Augustus in an unusual way: equipped as a general, with bare feet, and one hand outstretched in a pose familiar from portraits of orators. The Augustus of Prima Porta, a marble statue probably made shortly after Augustus’ death. The statue features references to Augustus’ descent and his political achievements. The Senate heaped many more rewards on Decimus Brutus than on Octavian for defeating Antony, then attempted to give command of the consular legions to Decimus Brutus. [67] In response, Octavian stayed in the Po Valley and refused to aid any further offensive against Antony. [68] In July, an embassy of centurions sent by Octavian entered Rome and demanded the consulship left vacant by Hirtius and Pansa [69] and also that the decree should be rescinded which declared Antony a public enemy. [68] When this was refused, he marched on the city with eight legions. [68] He encountered no military opposition in Rome and on 19 August 43BC was elected consul with his relative Quintus Pedius as co-consul. [70] [71] Meanwhile, Antony formed an alliance with Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, another leading Caesarian. [72] Second Triumvirate Proscriptions Roman aureus bearing the portraits of Mark Antony (left) and Octavian (right), issued in 41BC to celebrate the establishment of the Second Triumvirate by Octavian, Antony and Marcus Lepidus in 43BC. Both sides bear the inscription "III VIR R P C", meaning "One of Three Men for the regulation of the Republic". Caption: M. ANT. IMP. AVG. III VIR RPC M. BARBAT. Q. P. / CAESAR IMP. PONT. The Roman soldier has been interpreted as representing Tiberius, who was present when the Parthians returned the standards. Tiberius was a son of Livia’s from an earlier marriage. Augustus had no living heirs of his own and had, at long last, grudgingly accepted Tiberius as his son and successor. If this interpretation is correct, it would further argue in favour of the statue being made after Augustus’ death, and displayed at Livia’s villa. After the deaths of both Lucius and Gaius in AD 2 and 4 respectively, and the earlier death of his brother Drusus (9BC), Tiberius was recalled to Rome in June AD 4, where he was adopted by Augustus on the condition that he, in turn, adopt his nephew Germanicus. [229] This continued the tradition of presenting at least two generations of heirs. [225] In that year, Tiberius was also granted the powers of a tribune and proconsul, emissaries from foreign kings had to pay their respects to him and by AD 13 was awarded with his second triumph and equal level of imperium with that of Augustus. [230] The deified Augustus hovers over Tiberius and other Julio-Claudians in the Great Cameo of France. Here’s the savings and value breakdown for the new Space Marines Strike Force Agastus box set that was revealed at LVO 2023.Instead of following Caesar's example and making himself dictator, Octavian in 27 BC founded the principate, a system of monarchy headed by an emperor holding power for life. His powers were hidden behind constitutional forms, and he took the name Augustus meaning 'lofty' or 'serene'. Nevertheless, he retained ultimate control of all aspects of the Roman state, with the army under his direct command. Augustus was far from Rome when Caesar was killed, but he immediately returned upon hearing the news. When he reached Rome, he was told that he had been adopted by Caesar as his heir, which made Augustus the 'consul' of Rome. This meant he was the de-facto leader. Although, he was not emperor yet, he needed more support for that. War against Marc Antony and Cleopatra The primary reasons for the second settlement were as follows. First, after Augustus relinquished the annual consulship, he was no longer in an official position to rule the state, yet his dominant position remained unchanged over his Roman, 'imperial' provinces where he was still a proconsul. [163] [170] When he annually held the office of consul, he had the power to intervene with the affairs of the other provincial proconsuls appointed by the Senate throughout the empire, when he deemed necessary.
