About this deal

The noise rating of this cordless drill at full speed is 98 dB. Roughly equivalent to the sound levels you experience when riding a motorbike, proper hearing protection is essential. If you’re just driving in screws at low speed, the noise levels are obviously much lower. This drill uses a proprietary Symeon chip to control the battery, motor and gears, ensuring maximum coordination for greater efficacy and longevity. Good news! After doing this my drill is now working again and the problem you describe has stopped! The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work.

While 1.5Ah batteries are not the longest-lasting options, thanks to this drill’s lithium-Ion batteries and its energy-efficient Syneon Chip, you’ll find that you’ll get a lot done with just one battery. The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing. The PSB 1800 LI-2 lithium-ion two-speed combi from Bosch is suitable for drilling in wood (3 cm diameter), metal (1 cm diameter) and masonry (1 cm diameter) and can also be used as a screwdriver on these materials. It is conveniently cordless and always ready to use thanks to the lithium-ion technology and a 60 minute battery life. As the appliance is compact and weighs a light 1.3 kg, it is comfortable to use and won't cause your arm to ache after a few minutes. The softgrip also plays a part in making sure the drill is convenient to use. The PSB 1800 is a fantastic combi drill for general home use but if you need a little more power then you should consider the Bosch PSB 18 LI-2.SInce the power drill acts as both a drill and driver, it’s a great addition for people looking to eliminate bulkiness that comes with a lot of tools and increasing efficiency at work. Though its an 18V rechargeable power tool, this drill/driver continuously delivers powerful speeds and power to see you through a wide range of tasks.

Lithium-Ion batteries are renowned for their low self-discharge rate and high energy density, making them ideal for power tools. Moreover, as the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 comes with two lithium batteries, you won’t have to worry about running out of charge. Thanks to its ergonomic soft-grip handle and well-balanced, lightweight design, the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 is comfortable to hold and use, even over long periods. As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable. However, I noticed that it was a bit damp after being stored in the garage, so suspected that some moisture was affecting the electronics. This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied.Very happy that new drill is identical to my old one [except it works!], so very satisfied with offer & delivery from Tooled-Up.

This drill is lightweight, easy to use, efficient and powerful for DIY projects around the house as well as small applications like mounting your TV or a portrait on the wall. It also has more torque to offer than its alternatives. We would recommend it over the res. However, if you want something that can handle heavy-duty applications like concrete, then the Bosch Cordless Hammer Drill ideal too. So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however. I would highly recommend this tool as I would always advise to be equipped with middle-range products for everyday use. If you can afford and have even more use than I have go for top range.

Supports the same batteries as the rest of the Bosch range, offering to swap batteries about with other tools in the range. Q : I bought a Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Expert Power 4All drill several years ago & I am wondering if the batteries from this model will fit the newer model. Complete with two lithium-ion batteries, a charger, and a carry case, we think the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 is excellent value for money, mainly if you are new to DIY and don’t already have any interchangeable 18V batteries.

One of the big power tool brands, especially in the UK, Bosch have a decent slice of the market with their two broad levels of equipment. Their “blue” professional tools and “green” DIY tools vary massively in their capabilities as well as cost. I think it’s fair to say that the PSB 1800 fits squarely in the green DIY camp. The controls are easy to use and highly intuitive. The forward/reverse switch is coupled with a handy forward/reverse indicator at the top of the drill, so you’ll always know the direction setting.

If you’ve used Bosch tools before, you’ll know they come in two different levels. There are the blue Professional-level tools and the green DIY tools. The PSB 1800 fits into the DIY level, which means it’s a capable drill but not designed for heavy everyday use.
