About this deal

While TCL US is a budget brand, first and foremost, the company does offer quite a range of sets – from tiny, cheap 720p TVs with barebones features to big-screen Mini-LED sets that can cost thousands of dollars. Whether you want a Google TV over a Roku TV or you want 8K over 4K, TCL has you covered.

Bonus: saving this energy will save you money too! Our selection of the best energy efficient TVs 🏆 Our Favourite Energy Efficient TV Overall On fast-moving actions you wont want to miss a beat. TCLs Motion Clarity technology steps up the plate when watching your favourite sports or fast-paced movies and tv shows, helping reduce motion display blur and keeping motion trails to a minimum. Your viewing experience will always be crystal clear, whether the source 50Hz or 60Hz. One of the biggest differences is that it runs the Roku OS operating system, which has a different layout to Android TV, but many of the same apps. It's another QLED TV – hardly surprising, given TCL's enthusiasm for the technology – but has more basic audio-visual technologies. If you don’t feel like spending more than 2.5K on a TV, the Samsung Q70A in its 55 ” version might be your best bet! Its energy class is “only” F, but to be fair, most 120Hz TVs in that price range score a G. There’s no true local dimming in the edge LED lighting system, despite the set carrying a Micro Dimming feature. This feature actually refers to the way the TV’s processor breaks down images into small areas so that it can more accurately determine how best to render the finished image.

However, with both these solutions brightness will have reduced to around 400 nits by the time you’ve done what you need to do to remove all the colour ‘exaggerations’. There are a number of unusual elements to the 65C815K’s reasonably attractive design. First, it features a very obvious, blue-tinted soundbar hanging from its bottom edge. This wears the branding of renowned Japanese audio brand Onkyo, raising hopes this might be the rarest of things: an affordable TV with a built-in sound system that doesn’t sound horrible. Thousands of popular movies & TV shows, award-winning Prime Originals and live sports. Plus, FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of items. Watch anywhere. Cancel anytime. Impressively, the 65C815K supports both of the so-called active high dynamic range (HDR) formats: HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Most rival TVs support only one or other of these formats, or neither of them – and, as we’ll see, this dual active HDR support is especially important to the 65C815K’s performance.

Enjoy full rich sound like never before with Dolby Audio being at the heart of your new tv. While watching movies with Dolby Audio, the crystal clarity function and sound gives you sharper, more nuanced sound with great detail and richness for more realistic entertainment. When it comes to operating systems, TCL hedges its bets. One each of these three TVs runs Android TV, Google TV and Roku OS. Across all of them, you’ll get familiar features like VESA mounting, HDR, Dolby Audio, virtual assistant support, and more. Smart features– smart features are great for usability, but not so much for energy efficiency. We’ve listed the smart features available on all the TVs we reviewed. Weigh up these features carefully with the additional costs of running such a power-guzzling TV! Note that at the moment, all the TVs listed have smart features (it’s difficult to find non-smart TV nowadays). But there are different levels of smart features and you can find TVs that keep it more “simple” than others. Updated energy labelWhile the idea of a smart TV might sound somewhat complex, they're actually incredibly simple to use. Everything on your smart TV is controlled via its remote, making navigation simple and familiar to use. When you push the button on your remote to bring up the menu, you'll be presented by a scrolling bar of apps. Just navigate between the apps using you remote and then select the one you want. It's that simple. TCL’s 4-Series is the brand's flagship mid-range US TV. For most, if you’re looking a budget TV from TCL, the 4-Series is where you’ll look. Accordingly, this line has almost every size of TV you can imagine, and it comes with LED panels, 4K support, and HDR. Take your viewing experience to the next level with the new and advanced 65P638K from TCLs next range in viewing technology. Running in its brightest, most dynamic mode, colours in bright HDR10 scenes can look distractingly gaudy and unnaturalAll TVs sold in the UK should have this label – don’t buy one that doesn’t, even if it’s second hand. Note that, even though we didn’t find it particularly slow, this isn’t the fastest TV out there. Sound quality is also OK (It’s Dolby Audio, after all), but as with many TVs, a soundbar could be a nice addition. But again, this is compared to the top TVs on this list that cost 8 or 9 times the price of this TCL… The 65C815K’s pictures are… complicated. A unique mix of unexpected strengths and more predictable weaknesses.

I will re-iterate, do NOT buy a TCL TV if you want a trouble free experience. These guys have done nothing to improve this, for your entertainment just do a search for "Audio Sync issue TCL" and you will find many many people with exactly the same issues. It can't be blamed on a service provider. TCL’s flagship Roku TVs have a lot of commonalities between them, each coming with a 60Hz refresh rate, Dolby Digital Plus audio, HDMI ARC (or eARC) connections, and typical features like VESA mounts and an included remote. At their core is the Roku OS – a portal to streaming apps – though you can opt for Android/Google versions of these TVs over Roku if you prefer. A prominent feature in its list of product specifications is the addition of Dolby Audioprocessing for perfect sound quality. This definitely gives it an edge over alternative TVs in the market however it should be noted that a soundbar is still recommended due to the speakers small size. By adding a soundbar, you will be giving your home cinema set up an extra level of immersion which is ideal for film nights and gaming marathons. Ultimately, the smart TV that's right for you will come down to your own personal preferences. Find out what apps you want and then look for a smart TV that supports them and sits close to your budget. Televisions at EbuyerTCL UK’s C745K Series is one of the budget brand’s more premium TV offerings, and it's built with gamers in mind. As well as a refresh rate of 120Hz (or 144Hz for PC gamers), it has a wealth of gaming features built-in, like Gaming Master 2 aiming aid, shadow enhancement, gaming picture mode, VRR and ALLM. As for features, this is a Smart TV with 4K and UHD capability, so you can watch The Crown in all its high definition glory! We found the picture quality to be especially bright. If you’re into gaming, you’ll be happy to read that this TV has a refresh rate of 120Hz and comes with 4 HDMI ports (1 of them is HDMI 2.1 for gaming at 4K/120Hz)
