About this deal

The 25mm focal length of this lens reflects the way you see the world: natural, straightforward and undistorted. equivalent to 50mm on MFT format), a great lens but expensive if you consider the system and the type of lens, and the Voigltänder Nokton f/0. It would be tremendous if it fits in my hands as it is much nicer to carry one of those around with a couple of lenses vs a big dslr. I have been out this morning for a Sunday stroll with this combination and it feels so light and compact that I hardly even noticed that I was carrying the camera. Chromatic aberration is the lens' inability to focus on the sensor or film all colours of visible light at the same point. I did do a comparison with this lens against the Panasonic 25mm last week, and in that article, I have 100% unaltered crops straight from RAW conversion with no manipulation. On the other hand, I also explored shooting with various aperture opening, stopping down to gain maximum depth of field.

The must‑have prime lens With a 25mm focal length (50mm*) and 47° angle of view, this standard focal length prime lens is ideal for a wide range of photography. With a 25mm focal length and 47 degree angle of view, this lens sits right between wide and telephoto design.

The colors and contrast delivered are so good and punchy that sometimes I don’t even do any post processing on the images. One way to create shallower depth of field, to compensate for the smaller sensor size, is to go nearer to your subject.A great lens does help a lot in creating great images, and that is the main reason why I am staying with Olympus (this is true for all this time I have not started working for Olympus). A hood is provided with the lens, which is attached via the bayonet fitting hidden under the 'decoration ring' on the front of the lens barrel. Being able to focus so close can isolate the subject from the background even better, as you can see in many of my sample images here. However, if 35mm perspective resonates with you better, and if you do feel the need to shoot a normal view "wider", then the M.

With the 25's built-in close focusing plus the M-CON, I am thinking this might be a light, compact option for occasional macro needs.I care how a lens works under those constraints…how it reacts to processing, how it holds up under regular conditions.
