In parking mode, the camera records a 1-minute video when a vibration is detected, such as when someone bumps into the motorcycle. The camera brackets use M6 screws, so you might get lucky and find somewhere that you can mount them quite easily, either direct or with the L-shaped brackets. The fused power lead incorporates a small box that steps the 12V from the battery down to a 5V output, and while there are useful open spade connectors that can be easily slipped under the battery terminals (as opposed to ring connectors that require the screws to be removed), there is a third wire that needs to be connected to a switched live, for instance an auxiliary power supply. Tip – if the device has difficulty discovering the K3 LAN, put the device into Airplane or Travel mode to restrict external or internet connectivity and then turn on (just) the WiFi, after which the K3 LAN ID should appear and be connectable as a ‘local only’ connection.

While entertaining a hope that media card access would be easier than on the original K2 and more like the media slot on the K5; it is not to be. The wifi connection is not great (which has been mentioned as an issue with this model but opted for this over the newer one due to camera style and size).
