Def Leppard’ is the band’s eleventh studio album – the first since 2008’s ‘Songs From the Sparkle Lounge’. Housed in rigid boxes, the set also contains a hard-backed book with rare photos by Ross Halfin and liner notes by Classic Rock's Paul Elliott. Was the band’s first album of cover versions and featured some of the band favourite songs from over the years.

Its hard to sum up this album but my favorite memories of this was when I would listen to this album on the way to vacation in Wild Wood NJ which was an obscure amusement ride mecca. The album's goal, set out by producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, was to be a hard rock version of Michael Jackson's Thriller, in that every track was a potential hit single.

Its less loud than the 2017 pressing, the bass and the drums have less power, but to me it sounds more balanced and the listening for me is more enjoyable. S.
