Hooked on Books and The Spelling Book, Jane Considine energises and inspires thousands of teachers every year with her unique blend of sparkling effervescence and clear, practical guidance. I plan to use the powerpoint each day, (with the Jane Considine symbols for each day added on to the powerpoint and stickers) as we do the sentence stacking or experience days, and use the stickers on the left hand side of English books, as we jot our vocabulary and ideas. By using these lenses, pupils will become more confident on the range and repertoire of aspects to showcase in their independent writing. The Writing Rainbow is the essential teaching and learning resource for all schools that teach writing using Jane Considine’s systems. Pupils who are familiar with this poster find that it reminds them of the wealth of ways they can showcase flair and structures independently during their ‘Deepen the Moment’ aspects of writing.

When pupils are familiar with these nine elements, they are able to ensure that they are incorporated into their writing. At Whitehouse Primary School we are very proud of our pupil’s handwriting and take particular care in our cursive/joined-up handwriting style.

Jane Considine will be coming to Northamptonshire on the 7th December 2023 to deliver Fantastic Foundations, in person. This allows them to become more confident on the range and repertoire of aspects to showcase in their independent writing.
