The Three Lions have of course not won a major tournament since 1996, but they will be looking to follow in the footsteps of the Lionesses, who were crowned European champions over the summer in an historic feat.

The memories it leaves behind are made up of celebrations, spectacular plays, mistakes, goals, songs, mascots and official posters. Football brings people together and Bouthayna’s work conveys that sense of celebration and passion for the game,” said Beckham, who represented England at three FIFA World Cup™ tournaments.
Southgate's side have a tough job on their hands, however, with Brazil the favourites and the likes of Argentina, France, Spain and Belgium among those competing for the prestigious prize. The main poster depicts traditional headwear being thrown in the air – something which symbolises celebration and football fandom across Qatar and the Arab world. Russia 2018 paid a tremendous tribute to its most representative footballer, goalkeeper Lev Yashin, and to the design of the Uruguay 1930 poster, in terms of colors and shapes. Traditional headwear is a theme throughout the tournament, from the World Cup logo, the mascot, and even one of the stadium designs.The Football: Designing the Beautiful Game exhibition, including the first public display of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Official Poster outside Qatar, can be visited until 29 August 2022. The exhibition has a space dedicated to showcasing every FIFA World Cup poster since the very first tournament in 1930, and so with excitement building for Qatar 2022 it seemed the perfect opportunity to bring this design story right up to date. It’s been great to visit the Design Museum today and to see the World Cup poster for Qatar 2022 and meet the artist. The emblem’s design embodied the vision of an event that connected and engaged the entire world, while also featuring striking elements of local and regional Arab culture, as well as references to the beautiful game. I am beyond proud to represent Qatar and leave my mark on this incredible milestone in my country’s history,” said Al Muftah.
With 92 years of history, the FIFA World Cup has thousands of stories to tell, but what the following lines of this story will focus on is the graphic footprint left by each edition, that is, the official posters of each of the tournaments, including Qatar 2022. We are very proud of this beautiful series of posters that portray Qatar’s passion for football and shines a global spotlight on such a talented, female local artist.
