It was kind of the same rush as to when you have a crush on a boy at school, it was nostalgic and Hannah executed it perfectly! Not only do we get re-introduced to some of our favorites from book 1, but we were also given camp friends to love.

As said about, this was a great read that I can’t recommend enough and I’ll probably be doing a reread in the next few months! While it didn’t take away from the experience, reading the books as the series intends would possibly add to the joy.I won't say too much else since I think it's important people form their own opinions about this, but personally I don't think these books are for me.

As mentioned in the synopsis, the characters share an intimate night with one another and part ways immediately only to meet again at a summer camp as colleagues. After reading and devouring Icebreaker earlier in the year, I was not so patiently waiting for Russ’ story and my oh my, did I fall in love with this gorgeous guy! Russ hopes if he gets far enough away from Maple Hills, he can avoid dealing with the repercussions of his father’s gambling addiction, while Aurora is tired of craving attention from everyone around her, and wants to go back to the last place she truly felt at home. We started off the book seeing everyone that we met in Icebreaker which was lovely, I always love seeing how people are doing throughout a series.Both characters have flaws and both are broken and traumatized by their parents who’d failed them, but Rory and Russ end up finding solace in one another despite their imperfections. My original review had tons more (well deserved) praise for the book but now I'm on a time crunch, 'cause I'm doing this at work, so this will have to do.

Postava Russa je krásne vykreslená (Russ je neskutočné zlatíčko - muffin), a to, čo ma najviac zaujalo, je, že autorka ide nad rámec bežného romantického príbehu. Outside of talking about herself in third person, binge watching Asian Drama and plotting to get everyone she knows addicted to it, Ahana is an avid reader and a passionate blogger. Osobne som ocenila opisy priateľstiev, ktoré vznikli na Maple Hills, a vzťah medzi Russom a Aurorou je veľmi dobre vystavaný.Nothing happened with him, and the Xander connection /slash/ reveal later on could be seen from the moment Russ and Xander had their first conversation in their cabin.
