The body looks and feels cheap, and the see-through hinged door, which opens outward, is a tad flimsy.

What I loved the most was the rotisserie setting, which made it easier than ever to make delicious, juicy and evenly cooked cuts of meat. Its multi-level design has some perks over a conventional air fryer, including the ability to cook a number of items at once and rotisserie chicken, pork or kebabs.However, removing the shelves can be fiddly and if you cook across various levels, some things will cook faster than others. The wire rack functions as a stand for the reversible grill plate as well as a toast rack, having enough space for bread to be inserted into its slots. Despite the fancy features, the Tower T17039 doesn’t feel as robust as the more expensive models we’ve reviewed.

At 382 x 324 x 339mm, it’s a fairly average size for an air fryer – albeit at the larger end – and it has quite a boxy shape.
