About this deal

Starting with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, the religiosity becomes noticeable, with the Witch as Satan, Aslan as Jesus, and the Emperor as God. During World War II many children were evacuated from London and other urban areas because of German air raids. Lucy and Edmund appear in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where Aslan tells them, too, that they are getting too old. The Chronicles of Narnia Series has a pretty powerful place in the realm of children’s literature, its initial publication back in the 1950s setting it apart as a story quite unlike any that had been told to date, one that wasn’t afraid to dip its fingers into the world of religion, not only borrowing from Roman, Persian and Greek cultures the mythological elements that proliferated their stories, but tackling head on the themes of race, gender and equality, creating quite the controversy, and in the process setting itself apart from typical children’s tales.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis | Goodreads

This I especially found in Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader where descriptions could go on for forever.Prince Caspian and The "Dawn Treader" naturally followed because Mars and Sol were both already connected in his mind with the merits of the Alexander technique.

Chronicles of Narnia Book Series (In Order 1-7)

However, Lewis probably got that name from the terebinth tree in the Bible, so both of us pinched from somewhere else, probably unconsciously. However, Poskanzer criticized Lewis for what she regarded as scenes of gratuitous violence, which she felt were upsetting to children.Nicholas Wanberg has argued, echoing claims by Mervyn Nicholson, that accusations of racism in the books are "an oversimplification", but he asserts that the stories employ beliefs about human aesthetics, including equating dark skin with ugliness, that have been traditionally associated with racist thought. However, Walden Media and 20th Century Fox eventually co-produced The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which was released in December 2010. Not only is there a veil over the religiosity, there's so much creativity in this story: the magical rings, the in-between place, the Deplorable Word, the founding of Narnia.
