About this deal

Some weed killers contain plant hormones that, when applied to the plant, confuse the plant’s growth system. Granularweed killers are good for lawn application but we would not recommend these for killing weeds on driveways and paths. It can also kill trees, especially if they are you, but can also damage established trees so be careful with how you apply this weed killer and don’t use it with a sprayer on windy days. It works by diluting the concentrate with water though you can still apply straight from the sachet to destroy stubborn woody weeds so would be good for killing horsetail by using straight from the sachet. If not, then at least ensure you rinse the sprayer properly at least three times before using it to spray plants as the smallest bit of weedkiller left in the sprayer can kill your plants.

In terms of application, the container holds 5 L of liquid which is applied to weeds via a built-in spray nozzle.

They are both very similar; in fact, both actually contain 360g/l of glyphosate, so the glyphosate rate is identical. It can take several weeks to see the full results, but you’ll have the satisfaction of watching weeds turn brown, wilt and wither away. It’s important to note that the chemicals in most weed killers are not as effective during warmer temperatures.

It’s also the best weed killer if you want a versatile product that can be used on tree stumps as well! For me when I used it on dandelions the weeds started looking unhealthy after a day and had gone yellow in three days before fully dying after about a week. If you are going to do this just be careful you don’t get the weedkiller on your skin and use gloves if possible! You’ll need to mix 15 ml of Weedol weed killer with 1 L of water in a watering can with a fine rose before applying it to the lawn.Well, if you have enough patience and want excellent results that will last, then theDeadfast Concentrated Weedkiller Sachets is your best match. It’s worth mentioning that Roundup Concentrate weed killer is degraded in soil by micro-organisms, therefore, replanting and sowing can be done after a few days. For instance, if you have a medium area, say 40m2, you will be good with the Resolva 3L weed killer. However, the results are reliably positive, albeit slow – it takes around one week for clover to start visibly yellowing and dying. Pre-emergence weedicides are used for targeting germinating seedlings before they grow, while post-emergent products work on weeds that have started growing.

If, however, you just want the maximum weed-killing power then this might well be the product for you.Just like most ready to use weedkillers it will not be effective on weedy hard to kill weeds so you would be better off investing in a concentrate and mixing something stronger for brambles or similar. Pumping the handle creates pressure in the container, and when the button on the wand is pressed, the weed killer travels through the hose and out of the nozzle.

I’ve recently used it on my neighbour’s block paved driveway, and you can see from the before photo above and after below. However, those qualities make residual weedkillers the best options for driveways, paths, and block paving – areas that you don’t want to see weeds ever. A systemic or industrial weed killer will help tackle the hardiest weeds , such as brambles and briars.

When it comes in contact with soil, it breaks down and becomes harmless, so it’s safe to replant in the same spot.
