About this deal

While our tops do fit 95% of the brands available we can't promise that they will fit all, so please check to save any disappointment. Over the past few years, we’ve worked on several ways to reduce the plastic we use for our products. The tub and labels stayed the same - the only thing that changed was the weight numbers - located at the bottom of one of the side panels.

And although they’re circular, they’re also so stretchy that they can be fitted over square tins, oval dishes and even odd-shaped fruit. Foil lids can tear when you peel them off, and those flimsy plastic ones never fit back on the same, but these made-to-fit silicone pot tops go on and off easily, and create an airtight seal so your yoghurt stays fresh and yummy for as long as possible. We’ve also switched our cream packaging to bottles so that they’re 100% recyclable, and we’re not stopping there! Since eliminating these single-use clip-lids can be an adjustment, and as big pots are not necessarily consumed in one go, Rachel’s Organic has gone one step further in offering a free reusable and recyclable over cap, which can be used time and time again and is also dishwasher safe. By removing ‘single use plastic’ such as the clip lid, we will remove a 145 tonnes of plastic a year – that’s the equivalent of 188 Friesian cows, 24 African elephants or 17 tractors.Pop the packs and green plastic lids into the bag – due to the size and weight limits of the bag, it’s a max. These images will be reviewed and you may not receive your over cap if we cannot validate your purchase. Instead of suggesting a longlife reusable plastic lid, what about a reusable silicone lid for the pots youre phasing out the clip lid for… to we purchased with yokens.

We are always working on improving and we’ll keep you posted with updates about how we’re getting on.I use the larger lid all the time which fits Yeo Valley and Waitrose yoghurts, while the smaller one sits in the drawer, unused.

As fir the plastic lids if using less plastic was true that could be good, but what about the rest of the container and the plastic tops with a Yeoken code. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .

They’re dishwasher and freezer-safe too, so you can pop your yoghurt in the freezer when you fancy fro-yo for a bit of a treat. These work okay, but they do not fit as well as the milk bottles tops I have been using for a while. There’s a whole array of round yoghurt pot sizes on the supermarket shelves, but there’s a smaller yellow and a larger orange cover in this pack that have been designed to fit most standard sizes, so you’ll be able to keep most of them covered once you’ve had a spoonful or two from the pot. Ideal for storing food in the fridge, or carrying a dish of something tasty to work for lunch, they’re safe to use in the microwave for reheating too – just peel the lid back a little on one side so steam can escape, or use a larger cover for a looser fit.

Scrape out the last spoonful of yogurt from your pot then tear the seam and remove the cardboard sleeve. Following a successful trial removing the clip lids from our Greek style yogurt range, we’re now removing the plastic clip lids of our big 350g and 450g yogurt pots. They’re a smart, reusable solution to one of life’s little niggles – and a much more eco-friendly option than reaching for a bit of cling film. Each lid has strong tabs all around the edge to help you pull it into place around any shape of container, and a longer pull tab for releasing the seal. The yoghurt can be spilled or get contaminated (we have a celiac in the family and keeping food separate and uncontaminated is already a challenge). As for saving these yeokens I find them a waste of time as mostly the deal is to get you to spend money with one of their 'partners'. The only way they are guaranteed not to come off is if you put them on a bowl that is exactly the same width but then they just flop off.
