The Canadian DVD version of the film includes the two alternate scenes mentioned above, plus a few additional ones. And the narrative: the different story lines that come together, the elegantly used flashbacks, the use of "chapters" – there is so much playful creativity at play here, it's just a pure joy to watch. Thurman, Roth, Rhames, Plummer, Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel and the rest all give amazing performances, but my favorites were easily Willis as a desperate boxer with a very special watch, Travolta as a henchman who keeps screwing up, and Jackson as a hotheaded guy who spouts pseudo-Bible verses. Man muss diese beiden Männer mittleren Alters in ihren Kragen und Pullundern einfach gesehen haben, sie sind schweinecool. Though Tarantino has yet to record a commentary track for Pulp Fiction, two features included on this Collector’s Edition may be the next best thing. When gangsters Jules and Vincent talk to each other (or all the other characters, for that matter) there is a natural flow, a sense of realism and yet something slightly over the top and very theatrical about their lines – it's a mixture that immediately grabs your attention (even if it's just two dudes talking about what kind of hamburger they prefer, or contemplating the value of a foot-massage). Hier noch groß etwas über Inhalt und Qualität des Filmes zu sagen, wäre als würde Eulen in ein Athen tragen, in dem sich die Leute vor lauter Eulen nicht einmal mehr an der Nase kratzen können.Despite all the death, cussing and gruesome injuries, Tarantino presents much of the story in a tongue-in-cheek way -- just consider the scene where Jules and Vincent are forced to strip naked and be given a hose bath, then dressed in goofy casual-wear.

Die Bildergalerien (Kinoplakate, Hinter den Kulissen, Photoshooting, Produktionsbilder, Anzeigen, Drehortsuche, Produktionsdesign, Requisiten) zeigen allerdings zahlreiche Bilder, die sich überschneiden oder schon in anderen Extras gezeigt wurden. If the two behind-the-scenes montages are disposable, the brief production design featurette is vital to understanding how Los Angeles’s “car culture” is embodied in the film’s mise-en-scène. Doch abgesehen von diesen einzelnen Kritikpunkten, hat man hier eine mehr als würdige DVD geschaffen, auf die man so gut eigentlich gar nicht mehr zu hoffen gewagt hat.Dann folgt ein standardmäßiges hinter den Kulissen, in denen, der mit einer Videokamera gefilmte Bruce Willis eine nahezu prophetische Eingabe hat. Just as successful is footage from the Independent Spirit Awards (watch as Roger Moore and Tarantino do there best Beavis and Butthead impersonations) and Tarantino’s Palme d’Or acceptance speech at the Cannes Film Festival (gotta love those French crowds! I can only speak for myself, but I had never seen anything as stylish, cleverly constructed, well written and electrifying as this milestone when I first saw it in 1994.
