Didn’t pick up a tube of the Palmolive cream yet… I’m not quite at the point where I feel the need to own *all* the soaps and creams. The disadvantage is you will need to use more product than other alternatives so it may end up costing more per use.

If money were not an object Speick is the best IMO as its scent is magnificent and so original in addition to perfect shaves. The shave stick is probably one of the top performers of any soap or cream I’ve tried, and that’d be dozens. Regardless, I detect a fresh scent, almost like a dryer sheet, with plenty of flowers beneath and hints of aquatics and traces of leather, light woodiness plus a miniscule amount of the namesake tobacco and light vanilla in the background.One advantage of a full coverage direct application is that because the application is fairly thick you may have more protection and can use a razor that is more “aggressive” (by blade count, blade angle, blade exposure, etc. Yes, I’m a big fan of the soap stick, all of them, ok with the exception of the Boots own branded one.
