Whilst it can be tempting to try and get started with the Owleez toy straight away, Owleez wont fly, may refuse to fly or wont fly very well if his battery is low, so as frustrating as it may be for the children to have to wait a little, this is definitely recommended to get the best out of the toy. I was a bit worried that Owleez may break as he does tend to have quite a few crash landings, however we have been practicing lots with Owleez, and despite being bumped, bashed and knocked a fair few times, he remains completely in tact and unharmed. I am fortunate to be surrounded by strong, powerful women in the form of my mum, sister and mother-in-law (along with many others).Owleez is quite a big investment, however it is a very clever toy, with a number of interactive elements including the skill of flight. It has ultimate features like a unique pet, interactive nurturing toy, and the magic of flight, but it needs the help of a child all the way. Ideal for kids aged 6-12, the series consists of feel-good, hilarious books full of photos and stories about Tom's life at home and school.

It is pretty easy but your Owleez needs to be fully charged as we realised when it kept failing to fly, it needed a charge. When it’s in the nest, it loves the tickle that you touch her cute little tummy, and it feels so funny when you touch her head with your hand. If you want to re-start your Owleez flying experience and start from scratch, you can hold the back button for 10 seconds. The Owleez flying baby owl does require a full charge and flying does appear to drain the battery quite quickly. The trail was really well done and what really topped it for us was the relaxing music that accompanied the trail throughout.
