About this deal

The material is cold, bass heavy, minimal, rock and roll influenced and could simultaneously fit into a rave or dance club context. Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into. These 13 tracks thrive on paranoia and aggression, feelings threaded together by the sense that everything could be ending right now.

I took mine out of the sleeve earlier this year and noticed that it had left black marks all over the front cover of the album. It didn't matter how great the beat, the the break down, no, the spotlight was always shining on Ride. Copies pressed in 2020 feature a transparent sticker with 'MADE IN CANADA' printed in black on the back of the outer black cover. I'm not seeing many in between, whether my mind is filtering it out or maybe I'm looking for these black and white reviews as a way of pre-formulating my own opinion.
