About this deal

However when Vicky arrives she finds Clémence aloof and strangely reluctant to be friendly and gradually secrets that Clemmie has been keeping for many years come to the surface as Vicky stirs up memories of her son. Now living in Gloucestershire, Dinah once lived in Tuscany working as an au pair for an Italian countess; she has also lived in a ‘hippy’ rock’n roll commune based in an Elizabethan manor house, but started writing when she was living in a small 16th Century village in Spain. Having really enjoyed Dinah Jefferies “Daughters of War” I was a bit disappointed with the Night Train to Marrakech. The girls were hoping to enjoy the delights of Marrakech, the food, the weather, the local social life and maybe even new love interests.

I felt the three sisters from those books appeared in this story mainly in supporting roles, providing little details as necessary and relevant. Exploring the beautiful country of Morocco and looking for ways to get from Marrakech to Fes (also spelled Fez)? Mein Fazit: das war ein wunderschönes Buch, eine tolle Mischung aus Thriller, Familiensaga und Lovestory, und das vor dem faszinierenden exotischen Hintergrund des Marrakeschs der 60er Jahre. It's an epic journey that'll take her to the edge of Atlas Mountains - and closer to the answers she's been craving all her life. I have read only one other book by Dinah Jefferies, also via the Pigeonhole platform, and I rated The Tea Planter's Wife at 5 stars. Then Vicki’s cousin Bea arrives to stay with her and shortly afterward the two girls witness a shocking event.Vicky found out recently from an older relative that she had a grandmother , who she had never met, living in Marrakech.

And through a series of chance encounters and coincidences, she is soon embroiled in melodrama of her own owing to the arrival of an enemy from Clemence's past and the legacy of Morocco's political history.Vicky, the daughter of Elise and Victor travels to Morocco in the hope to meet her grandmother Clemence and learn more about her past. This is the final book in Dinah Jeffries “Daughters of War” trilogy and as ever was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Sin da principio si intuisce che la donna nasconde un doloroso passato, segreti inconfessabili che sono ancora capaci di toglierle il sonno ma che tiene rigidamente a bada nel suo nido d’aquila.
