Other than Mike's vocals, this is nothing but a Brothers Johnson/Heatwave LP (if you check the credits) that Quincy out together. I always get into fights with people because, I always say that this album is better than "Thriller".Now with a massively successful US tour opening for sweet soul darlings Thee Sacred Souls behind him, 2023 is sure to be a propitious year for Daptone's newest signee. After leaving "Motown" with his Brothers and releasing the fantastic "Destiny" album, "Michael" got really ambitious, signed a solo contract with "Epic", and began to take over the music world with "Off The Wall".

Get On The Floor" is also a THUMPIN' joint written by "Rod Temperton" from "Heatwave", with bass line courtesy of "Louis Johnson" from "The Brothers Johnson". I highly recommend changing the paper sleeve to a poly lined sleeve if you wanna keep this amazing quality forever. Side note: I heard that every song that "Rod Temperton" wrote for "Michael", was first offered to "Heatwave" and they turned them down. I also have the half speed version that highlights some instruments due to some more separation of the instruments. After comparing the 2 sound, this is pretty faithful to the original 1979 pressing when it comes to the sound.
