The earcups on G435 are covered in a breathable fabric that keeps your ears cool during long play sessions.However, in our testing, we found that while the volume limit works, it doesn’t work as well as it should. The headset is super lightweight and the ear pads are soft, which is definitely conducive to long gaming sessions. On the downside, the mediocre sound isolation means these aren’t going to be a great option for listening in a noisy environment, or for isolating others from your audio in a quiet one. My voice was indeed louder than the background noises, but the external noises were still very much there. If you’re looking for a wireless gaming headset for your kid, or you’re just trying to be a little more environmentally conscious, you should consider the Logitech G435 Lightspeed.

Set to the 100dB limit, the headset can hit up to 110dB(SPL), and set at the 85dB limit, the Logitech G435 Lightspeed can reach 99dB(SPL) — it does limit, but it’s well over the specified level, meaning there’s still potential for hearing damage if you’re listening for more than 8 hours. The G435 handles the surround sound demands of something like Knockout Cityusing the PlayStation 5’s 3D audio very well. When you want to connect G435 to another device, you can still play at high-speeds with low-latency Bluetooth. The overall design is attractive, with curves and angles on the earcups that look much more stylish than earlier Logitech options like the G733.
