About this deal

As Niamh checks into the halls of residence, the coolest girl she has ever met wants to be moved from her room as she doesn’t like being so high up. The fact that the victims all have a connection to Niamh and share an uncanny resemblance to her makes the situation even more disturbing.

Enveloped by a thick fog, the Germans might have been obscured from sight but the boys from Baltimore could clearly hear the staccato of enemy machine guns and the howls of shells streaking overhead.

The pacing of the book is great, I couldn’t stop reading as I wanted to know what was going on and if my theory was right (it was). Niamh has a work placement at the Victorian Street Museum, and the author blends modern day action with Victorian history. Author Guy Bass introduces SCRAP, about one robot who tried to protect the humans on his planet against an army of robots.

It has all the elements of a thrilling horror but there’s also a dash of the supernatural and some romance.I mean, it even has a scene where all the lights go out in the tube station and Niamh can hear someone with metal claws approaching. Determined to make it through her drama course, Niamh is placed at a Victorian museum to put her acting skills to the test.

I just don't like writing like that where the character talks to themselves like that, and in this book it came across as being quite juvenile. Perhaps to regain his reputation and prove his patriotism at a time when German-Americans were viewed with suspicion, he volunteered for dangerous assignments as a runner. Determined to make it through her Drama Course, Niamh is placed at the Victorian Museum to put her drama skills to the test, and there she meets Tommy: he’s kind, fun, attentive, and really hot!

One reason might be that men find it more difficult to ask for help and don't want to come across as "needy. I loved all of this book from the spooky mystery to the realistic characters and the plot is brilliantly told so you are wound up in the events all the way from the beginning to when the attacker is finally revealed at the end.
