When Nanami was a child, she was deeply affected and influenced by her mother, Kumimi Momozono as Nanami listened when she told her to "never trust papa, never tell him where the money is even if he begs you" and "grow up and don't ruin your health like mama, grow up and become an adult on your own". Tomoe initially thought about killing Nanami again as he blamed his unusual feelings on her but later saved her from Kirakaburi and took her with him.
