About this deal

Other Carnotaurus, as well as DNA samples from this powerful species, are likely still in circulation on the international black market. There, it was forced to fight other theropods for the entertainment of high-paying viewers until it was eventually released into the streets of Valletta in 2022. In Jurassic World: Evolution, it is susceptible to infection from Rabies lyssavirus, the rabies virus. It is unlikely, but possible, that the presence of chromatophores in the skin is limited to specimens originally bred by InGen on Site B, and that they are absent in those bred on Isla Nublar during the twenty-first century. Later that year, both a juvenile Carnotaurus and the scared adult from the Lockwood Manor were kept within the Amber Clave Night Market in Malta for its fight pit, the adult was planned to be pitted against an Allosaurus and the juvenile against a Lystrosaurus.

In an earlier script of Jurassic Park ///, an adult Carnotaurus would have appeared on the bank of Isla Sorna’s central channel in the southwestern region of the island. One of the most distinctive species of theropod dinosaurs, Carnotaurus was first cloned by InGen during the creation of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, with the company possessing a pair of Carnotaurus on Isla Sorna in the 1990s. The horns of Carnotaurus were too blunt to be used as weapons and were more likely utilized as display features to attract mates or intimidate rivals. It is unknown if these Carnotaurus were transported from Isla Sorna once the island's biosphere began to collapse.

Carnotaurus ("meat-eating bull"), was one of the most bizarre yet dangerous meat-eating dinosaurs ever found. A Carnotaurus was observed displaying hunting behavior towards Mills, but it noticed the presence of a larger theropod, Rexy, nearby. InGen and Masrani Global intended for it to be used as a park attraction at Jurassic World, with its popularity and thrilling behaviors guaranteeing it stardom; unfortunately, it was found to be too aggressive to safely exhibit, and was relegated to quarantine in Sector 5 where it would never see the public. However, its aggression appeals to some more unsavory tastes: it is highly suspected that the 2018 black-market auction would have seen this dinosaur sold to Russian mobster Anton Orlov to be pitted in a cage match against another carnivore had the auction been allowed to conclude.

All together there were at least four adult Carnotaurus living on the island between 2015 and 2018, including one male and at least one female. Later that night, Toro managed to find his way into the park's tunnel system, where he once again encountered and attacked Darius' group, eventually losing them in some vents. They are depicted doing so in Jurassic World: Evolution 2, where members of the same social group can be seen engaging in shoving matches using their horned heads. The first Carnotaurus has a color scheme that resembles the "Bonebreaker" from Series 1 of The Lost World, while the second Carnotaurus has a coloration that is nearly identical to the "Demon" from Series 2 of Jurassic Park. Generally, the darker animals are thought to be males, but both males and females of the lighter morph have been identified as well.

Illegal trafficking and breeding of de-extinct animals have become a global issue, with the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife attempting to track the locations of these species. Having been released into the Pacific Northwest after a failed attempt to sell them on the black market, their fates are still hotly debated. S. Arcadia; due to a hydrogen cyanide leak, they were released into the surrounding forest by Maisie Lockwood.

However, after a period of healing, Toro displayed remarkable resilience and recovery abilities when faced with Ben and Bumpy. Toro was later moved to Mantah Corp Island alongside several other dinosaurs, including: Limbo the Baryonyx, a Dimorphodon and Bumpy the Ankylosaurus (although Bumpy eventually escapes being mind controlled). While they often live alone, they are sometimes seen in pairs, and clearly have sophisticated ways of communicating to each other. It lived in close proximity to other large carnivores on Isla Nublar, such as Baryonyx, Allosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus; while it may have competed with Allosaurus for prey, it would probably not have faced competition from the fish-eating Baryonyx.

While its tough, scaly skin and armor protect it from many forms of attack, it is still vulnerable to hematophagous parasites.
