Colours are that much richer, the greens of the fauna, the yellows of the jeeps and the blues of the skies are that much more vivid, while skin tones are clean and realistic. There are decent edges throughout, from the rain drops on the car windscreens to the sharpness of the flares used to distract the Tyrannosaur.

Immediately apparent is the improvement in definition, boasting several stunning, razor-shaper scenes, including the fast-paced action moments, such as the now-infamous Owen riding with the Raptors at night sequence.

The book comes with a side-sliding slipcover made of a hard cardboard material with lightly-embossed artwork.

He doesn’t layer on the schmaltz at all, indeed there is genuine peril to the children and everyone gets their just desserts (excepting Sammy Jackson, who just disappeared). But you can’t expect miracles and the degree of improvement depends on the specific film you’re talking about. The summer blockbuster debuts on 4K Ultra HD with a spectacularly gorgeous Dolby Vision HDR presentation, a monstrous reference-quality DTS:X track but a rather puny selection of supplements. Reuniting Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum for one final outing, director Colin Trevorrow steers the presumably final franchise installment Jurassic World Dominion to success as a decently amusing and fitting conclusion.

This does serve as a good example of why home video release often don’t match the look of theatrical prints. Pointing out these obvious aspects and traits of the movie is not meant to find fault with the production or gearing up to lambast it.

All the while, Neill more often functions as an "old man yells at cloud" meme, crabbedly reacting to the ever-changing and rapidly-evolving world that continuously makes him feel like an extinct species.
